Hi everyone!
I am using the BQ24195 chip within a powerbank application and I can't help but notice that the inductor heats up till around 65 degree during PMID operation.
The performance of PMID hovers from 4.95V (load condition) and 5V (unloaded condition)
Following the datasheet schematic, i did not connect any load to SYS as i have my own external 3.3V regulator for my microcontroller.
As my prior inductor used is SRP2512-2R2M (peak current around 3A), I felt the saturation current was the issue why the inductor was heating up and thus, i have changed it to the one on the evaluation board : IHLP2525CZER2R2M01 (8A RMS, 14A peak)
However, the heating issue is still present at 60 deg.
Do you have any suggestions for me to resolve this issue?
I am unsure if the inductor on the evaluation board reaches this temperature itself as I do not have one.
Best Regards!
