TPS74401: Bias Pin Voltage

Part Number: TPS74401

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am using TI’s LDO “TPS74401” for Vin=1.8V, Vout=1.0V, Iout=1A. Below is the schematic design

Unfortunately, we have connected IN and BIAS together, whereas the Vin = 1.8V. The same supply goes to the BIAS pin.

Hence we do not get any regulated Output.

Do you have any solution/alternate part which works with BIAS voltage of 1.8V or we have to go ahead with PCB re-work?

 Thanks & Regards

Shekhar S K

  • Hi Shekhar,

While we do have other devices in the RGW package that would fit your application without the BIAS rail, they are not pin to pin with TPS74401. Unfortunately it looks like you will need to rework your board. I see that you have a 3.3 V rail on your board for the PG pullup, depending on your layout, you may be able to use this rail.

    Very Respectfully,
    Ryan
