I am actually using TPS613221ADBVT.

Vin - 1.2V

Vout - 3.3V

Current output: 150mA

Without any circuit to drive current drawn is 150mA. Output voltage is 1.5V. Can yiu please list probable cause

I am using this for a Wifi circuit. So I understand the noise in the circuit might cause the variation. It is causing my circuit to load and the current is about 250mA

No not in the EVM

Load is a wifi module.

The current required by my circuit is 150mA. But once when I put the step upcircuit. Output voltage drops to 1.7V and current to 260mA

HI Nidhi:
Please remove the L3 in your board and use a resistance as the load to test the capability of the Boost converter. I guess your load may larger than 150mA for some moments.

The load is a wireless module. So there is internet connection so the current waveform looks like this. The current profile is measured across 2 ohm resistor kept in series with power supply

The current is change all time but the maximum seems below 150mA.

I'll recommend you:
1# Startup with no load. After that, enable the wireless module.
2# Replace the load with a Resistance to test the current capability of the converter.

Besides, we have TPS61099x with better efficiency and TPS61029 with larger current capability.

1# is not possible as we want it for continuous operation
2# whatever is its capability i don't think its able to handle the spurious responses.

Hi Nidhi:
1# It could be continuous operate after startup. It's hard for Boost to startup with full load, or you may need much larger current device with higher cost.
2# It's recommended to debug the system with each single part at first. Or it's hard to focus the key point.

-Can I put two regulators in parallel?

-I was considering with replacing TPS 61016

-Can I have some support as i was considering as I need to do testing and i am facing some crucial deadlines. Can you put me in touch with someone in India with assistance to have multiple samples here

It's not recommended to parallel. And tps61016 may not has enough current capability for your case.

You could apply the sample at ti.com or contact the distributors.

Hi Nidhi:
Sorry, that I'm confused about your load condition. The TPS61016 is hard to support boost from 1.2 to 3.3/260mA.
We have larger current capability IC, as TPS61029 as I mentioned before. And after all, it's better for you to confirm the load condition before choice a converter.

The recommended supply IC for stepdown is : AP2114H-3.3TRG1

SO I dont think TPS61029

Hi Nidhi:
May you share the system block for me ? I didn't see where the buck converter is.
And please notice that current load is a key spec for boost converter. Or we couldn't recommended a proper part. TPS61029 has the larger current capability than TPS61322 and TPS61016. But I still confirm if it suit for you, as the lack of key spec.

So I was just checking the load of the circuit with resistor and apparently its not able to load with even 66 ohm load. thats 40mA. can this be a faulty IC?

So I have a battery followed by infaillaible resistor of 10Ohm and then the TPS circuit. I understand that the resistor drops the voltage to 0.854 causing the circuit to load.

Sorry, I didn't see the step-down converter as you mentioned.
And please add the waveforms including Vin, Vout, SW, and Icoil. I afraid the Vin may drop a lot when it loaded.

If I remove infallible resistor and reduce voltage as 2V it loads with the circuit

Input and out put caps are 47uF. I dont have the snubber circuit in place.
