UCC28019: UCC28019 No load audio noise issue

Part Number: UCC28019

Under the condition that the input voltage is higher than 150Vac and the load is no load, the PSU will emit an abnormal sound.

RD test report is attached,How can I modify this phenomenon? Thanks.

  • Hello Hsu cheng,
Application Report SLUA688 describes a method to prevent audio noise at no load in the UCC28019
    www.ti.com/.../slua688.pdf
Placing a resistor from VCC to ICOMP adds a small offset.
One other thing to check :
Do you have enough output capacitance ?
If the output capacitance is too low then the system may be going into overvoltage protection at no load.
This will cause the pfc to turn off and back on agian.
    Please check this.

    Regards
    John
