TPS61099: Fixed voltage output FB pin internal connection.

Part Number: TPS61099

In the data sheet it says to connect the FB pin to ground for the fixed output voltage versions of the TPS61099, I can't tell from the block diagram whether it is connected internally to ground or if it is connected to the ground output for the resistor divider or no connection at all. I am asking because I have ordered some PCBs with the FB pin left floating accidentally and I was wondering whether I should cancel the order if it the chip will not work without this connection.

  • Hi Jamie:
TPS61099 series have adjustable version and fixed version. You may share the detail part number so that I could help to check.

For the fixed version, if the FB pin is floating, it will bring noise, and it's not recommended. Connect it to GND or VOUT each is OK, only no floating.
