TPS61196-Q1: could you help provide other reference resistors' value for R1, R2 and R5?

Part Number: TPS61196-Q1

hello

we are not easy to get the resistors which has the value of 24.9K and 182K, so we want to use other resistors.

Could you help provide other reference resistors' value for R1, R2 and R5, which are also suitable for the TPS61196-Q1?

what is the range of resistors' value for R1, R2 ,R5 ?  The minimum value and the Maximum value ?

Thanks a lot!

  • Hi Jesse,

You can use the equations below to get the appropriate R1, R2 and R5 value according to the required Vstart and Vstop in you design.

  • Thanks for your reply!
I cannot find how to define Vstart and Vstop. Is there any explaination for them?
Another question is: Based on the equation 2, what is the range of resistors' value for R1, R2 ,R5 ?

we set R1=10K, R2=5.1K and R5=20K, In the input voltage ramp test (from 0V to 16V within 32 minutes by linear mode), when input voltage reaches at 9V, the LED starts to be flicking, and when it reaches at 12V, LED is off.

If the ramp rate is lower than 4V/s, this issue will happen.
  • Hi,

Vstart is input UVLO rising threshold. It is the voltage that you want the device to be powered on. Vstop is the input UVLO falling threshold. It is the input voltage that you want the device to be powered off if the voltage is below this value. For example, if you want the device to be powered on above 10V and powered off below 9V. Then Vstart is 10V and Vstop is 9V.

  • Hi Shirley
Thanks a lot for your reply.
I don't think you answer this question: Based on the equation 2, what is the range of resistors' value for R1, R2 ,R5 ?
  • Hi Jesse,

There's no specific range of R1, R2, and R5. They depend on the Vstart and Vstop that you require. Then you can substitute the Vstart and Vstop into the two equations and get the value of R1, R2 and R5.
