[FAQ] TPS23758: Difference between TPS23758 and TPS23755

Part Number: TPS23758
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS23755,

What are the differences between TPS23758 and TPS23755? TI's compare tool show them to be the same.

For starting new project, which part is recommended?

  • Hi,

Thank you for your question. The TPS23755 is designed for use in a diode rectified flyback. In general, the TPS23755 is designed and recommended for 12V or higher output voltage applications in order to maintain regulation accuracy without the need for an opto-coupler.

The TPS23758 is designed for use in a synchronous rectified flyback. In general, the TPS23758 is designed and recommended to be used in 5V or less output voltage applications in order to maintain regulation accuracy without the need for an opto-coupler.

Please let me know if having any additional questions and thank you for considering Texas Instruments PoE products.
