My customer evaluate LMR64010, but Vout drop with increasing load current.

Are there the datas about load regulation of LMR64010?

Can you tell me the Vin range, Vout, load current of your application? And also share the schematic please.

The conditions are VIn=2.7~5V, Vout=12V and Iout=~50mA.

Hi Yokota,

You could have a look at the efficiency curve shown as figure 9 in datasheet. This device should be able to device 12V@50mA power from 2.7V~5V Vin. Can you let me know the details data from customer's test.

It will be helpful if they can share the schematic, layout and key test waveform.

Thank you for the information.

The Vout falled about 50mV at changing Iout from 0mA to 50mA.

Is this load regulation normal as LMR64010?

Hi Yokota,

It's normal for dcdc converter. And it depends on how customer test the Vout. The long power cable resistance needs to be took into account. Long cable has voltage drop.

I'm sorry. I made a misstake about the value of load regulation.

Vout falled about 100mV changing Iout 0mA to 50mA.

Is it normal operation as this device?

Hi Yokota,

100mV is a little bit high.

Please have a look at how customer test the EVM. For best accuracy, please use DMM to measure Vout, not directly read the E-load monitor.

If the measurement result is still bad using DMM, please share the schematic and layout(if not using EVM), also use oscilloscope to see if the device is working correctly.
