LM3150-250EVAL: OVP test

Hello,

Please see the attached waveform.
LM3150 can't to OVP operation by once OV pulse on FB, the low side FET is be latch ON.
This device needs second OV pulse for normally OVP operation.
This symptom contradicts the explanation described in the data sheet, and I think it is a bug of the OVP operation.
Please specialist opinion.

Hi,

I think there is a time delay between the OVP circuit being activated and when the FET is actually turned off and that is probably what you are seeing in the design.

Could you let me know center value for delay time of OVP?

Hi,

Unfortunately i do not have this information and i check the datasheet Electrical Characteristic table and i do not see this value listed in there.

Therefore i do not think this value is characterized and at this point probably it is best to find the value by experimental method only unfortunately.
