Hi team

I need to get a 3V to 12V programmable output voltage with 2A capability using TPS61240;

1, Why output voltage of TPS61240 is limited within 0.9V~6V?

2,I want to trim the FB pin to adjust the output voltage with following method, so I want to leave VOS unconnected, just use FB pin。Can I do this? If not, reason is?

Hello user.

1. I recommend you have a look at the newer generation TPS62147/TPS62148. It is a great fit for your needs!

2. You don't have to leave VOS unconnected. An RC filter on a PWM is a valid method, you can refer to this app note: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slva471/slva471.pdf

Hello user,

With the trimming function you want to use you only are affecting the FB pin voltage.

I don't really understand your second question, TPS62140 has been specified to provide an output voltage within 0.9V and 6V. If you want to have a 3V to 12V programmable output voltage with 2A capability then TPS62147/8 is the part you need for your system.
