LM185-ADJ: LM185H-2.5/NOPB Operational behavior and Electrical Characteristics

Hi Team,

I would like to ask for your help regarding the operational behavior and electrical characteristics of part LM185H-2.5/NOPB.

The part shares the same datasheet with the other LMx85-ADJ family of devices and we were not able to find any other characteristics of the part aside from its package information.

The datasheet also states that the devices are Adjustable voltage references, contrary to the LM185H-2.5/NOPB which seems to be a fixed-voltage reference. Majority of the specifications as well were specified at 1.25V reference.

Do we have any other document or references which contains its technical specifications? I really hope that you can help us explain to our customer.

Hello Jejomar,

It looks like the LM185H-2.5 is in the wrong product page and attached to the wrong datasheet.

This is the correct datasheet:

Please ignore the comment that the LM185-2.5 is not recommended for new designs. That pertains to the version in the plastic packge.

Hello Kirby,

Thank you so much for your response. However, our customer stated that they cannot send the correct datasheet to their customer since it does not have the LM185H-2.5 attached with it, in addition with the comment "Not Recommended for New Designs".

Can you help us redirect this error with the document owner for proper corrections? This may also help us avoid future confusions and misinformation for our customers to avail and use this part.

I have been working on it but it is system error that could take a couple of weeks to fix. I am moving it up on the priority list for others.

Hi Jejomar,

The LM185H-2.5/NOPB should be showing up in the LM185-2.5-N product folder sometime on Friday and will appear in the proper datasheet. We are sill working on removing the "not recommended for new designs" message from the datasheet and that probably won't be completed unit next week.

It is also covered in the product page LM185-2.5-N, but there is a problem with the datasheet link on the product page, so please use the link above for the datasheet for now.
