TPS560430: EMC test

Part Number: TPS560430

Hello to everyone,

our customer is doing some tests with the TPS560430.

They did some EMC tests with their control box and in order to stay below the permitted limits, had to place a 10R resistor in series with the bootstrap capacitor of the buck regulator - here the circuit:

They then again thermally and electrically measured the regulator circuit and found no functional differences to the circuit without R28. They asked if we think this circuit modification is OK from our side?

Of course, they cannot make this resistance arbitrarily large. Are there any minimum requirements for the input impedance or minimum Slew rate or peak current in the CB pin?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Brian
