Hi,

I'm designing a circuit which has following specification.

Input Voltage 5 - 6.2 V

Input Current 5A

Output Voltage 5V

Output Voltage 5A

According to the TPS2400 datasheet, above specifications can be satisfied by using TPS2400 IC.

My question is how can I simulate TPS2400 based circuit? (currently I'm using NI Multisim)

Is there another simulation software that I can use for simulate TPS2400 based circuit or can someone give me a TPS2400 NI simulation component?

Hi Vijana,

Unfortunately we don't have simulation model for this device. I suggest to use TPS25942A which offers adjustable overvoltage protection and supports 5A.

Hi Vijana,

The OVLO, UVLO cut-off can be realized using a simple comparators in the simulation - right ? Am I missing anything ?

As a solution for over voltage protection I have chosen TPS25925x IC. But my doubt is,

TPS259250 Fault response is LATCHED

TPS259251 Fault response is AUTO RETRY.

I have gone through the data sheet but I could not find an answer. Can someone explain me about LATCHED and AUTO RETRY?
