Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, GPCCHEM, GPCRA0,

Hello team, I submitted log files, but doesn't receive any reply from gpc or ChemID team.
Any suggestions?
you can find the log file here.
Thanks in advance.

  • Your log has been submitted. Please expect to hear back within a day.

  • Here is your report. You need to log again at a 1s interval and relax the cell for 5 hours.

  • Dear Batt,

We are using BQstudio for generating log,

May i know where to set the log interval 1s?

    Thanks in advance!!

  • Adjusted Log interval in Preferences as 1000ms,. the BQstudio is not generating as accurate 1s interval.

I attached the log file here, please check and letme know.

    Thank you

  • Is 5 Hours relax time is mandatory or just need to get cell equilibrium?

  • That is correct.

  • here is the log file attached with 1s interval and relax cell for 5 hours, looking forward to receive the ChemID.

    Thanks in advanceBK220SCHU_1_ChemID.zip

  • Please submit it to GPCCHEM to get your ID.

  • Hello team,

    I'm writing on behalf of my customer;

Issue regarding ChemID, it’s not resolving from days.

hereby I've attached two files, one received from gpc calculator and the log file obtained from the BQStudio.

The log file is in this order

    Relax 2hrs

    Charge to- charge termination

    Relax 5hrs

    Discharge to- current 0A

    Relax 2hrs

The report says First OCVpoint has non-zero current I=  -0.008 Please make sure you have a 2 hr relaxation period before the beginning of discharge, but I didn’t see I=-0.008 A.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Adrian4024.GPC_report.zip

  • Hi Adrian,

Looking into the log there are severe discontinuities in the data. You need to follow the instructions in the GPCCHEM page completely. We need a log with a short relaxation at the start from a fully charged cell and a dsg to empty and short relaxation after.

Your elapsed time also has to be in seconds. Please follow all the instructions here,  and then upload the data to the tool.

  • As specified in GPC Guide:

under section 3.3, step 1, has to be logged or it's not necessary?

    Thanks

  • Yes, it is necessary to relax it. Your log can include up to 2 hours of cell at rest. The charging portion is not required for chem ID generation.

  • ok thank you,

I received a ChemID from GPCCHEM calculator. typical current of BK220SCHU is 2350mAH, but the tool suggested to use 3450mAH cell chemID.
    any suggestions?

  • You can use the tool suggested chem ID. What will change from the defaults for that chem ID are the Ra values since your resistance for a lower cap cell will be different from the other cell that it matched.

  • Hi Batt,

    on behalf:

Fuel gauge BQ34Z100-G1 the GPCRA0 cycle is performed, report email received from gpc_do_not_reply@ti.com, but unfortunately its empty. The report and error email image is attached for reference.

Looking forward for feedback or support.

    BR,

    Adrian

  • Hi Adrian,

Why do you need GPCRA optimization? A normal chem ID has a wider range when left at defaults. You have a chem ID already, you don't need to do further optimization unless you are getting really bad accuracy with it.

  • Hi Batt,

Chem ID is obtained, as we discussed earlier in this link where the Ra values for a lower cap cell will be different from the other cell that it matched. The GPRCA is performed to verify the Ra and Qmax tables, but unfortunately we didn't receive report.

    Thanks

  • Hi Reddy,

To get the correct Ra values for your battery after you found out the chem ID, you should run a learning cycle. Now a GPCRa cycle helps with Ra0 optimization incl thermal parameters, however, your learning cycle is necessary before this is performed. This will optimize your learned values for a room temp run.

Please run a learning cycle first so that your Ra values can be determined.

  • Thanks Batt,

The learning cycle has been performed, before GPCRA.

    please go through the images.

    Charge

    Discharge

    Thanks in advance!!

  • Hi Batt,

Still I didn't get any response from past 2 weeks, regarding GPCRA or the next next post I made.

  • Hi Reddy,

The screenshot shows that the battery has not learned. If you did learn resistance, it will have updated the Ra flags in the first cycle to 0x0055 and in the second cycle to 0x0000 and 0x0055. Please make sure your battery is relaxed with RDIS reset before starting your charge and dsg cycle when you run your learning cycle.

  • Though this document was made for another product, you may find this useful for running your learning cycle,

. Please see if this helps.
