LP3878-ADJ: The "NOPB" of LP3878MRX-ADJ/NOPB mean?

Part Number: LP3878-ADJ
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP3878,

What does the suffix NOPB of LP3878 MRX-ADJ/NOPB generally mean? What is the difference between LP3878 MRX-ADJ and LP3878 MRX-ADJ/NOPB?

  • Hi ,

LP3878-ADJ was originally released by National Semiconductor before the TI acquisition.  This is an older device that was originally released before the Green (RoHS & no Sb/Br) standards that you will find in semiconductor products today. The NOPB suffix was how National Semiconductor indicated that there was a product was Green (RoHS & no Sb/Br) during the time when semiconductor companies were transitioning older products to meet the new Green standards.

    Very Respectfully,

    Ryan
