I cannot seem to locate design files for UCD full bridge LLC application. I got the firmware downloaded.

also, cannot see PMP20289 ref design file name at all! That is perhaps the half-bridge LLC.

Isn't there one for full-bridge LLC as well?

I got the HB-LLC block diagram, schematic, firmware etc.

Need to compare HB with FB before buying the EVM.

    No amount of search yields anything related FB-LLC converter design details.

  • BTW: I finally found all relevant design files for FW-LLC & HB-LLC using UCD3138

    I have downloaded the firmware as well.

    So no need to spend any of your time on this.

    I think I have come to resolve which of the FB or HB to select for this particular design. HB fits well for 5v /80amp. Although, one has to be very very careful about copper on the 80 amp side.

    It would be of great interest to get your view of the "non-dissipative" current sense!

    We have another design impending: 3kW..where current will be 120 amp..............no resistive sensing in a small vol will cut it/without possibility of heat sinking the sensor.

    Hence the interest.

    There are still some more questions to clarify.

    So far I can only use the following documents

    -PMP11432 also shows up as tidrn80: UCD3138conterol card. 

    -PMP20047 also as tidrn82, LMG3410 schematic

    -PMP20289 or tidrn83, 400V to 12V/500W LLC W/ UCD3138A

    But seems to me I am missing some key documents. There must be another document which shows all signals to/from the control card either going to the power stage/HB/SR or coming from. Control card has signals but they are not to be found anywhere else....For example,  output current sensing & feedback.

    Could someone pl help in identifying all documents that help complete UCD3138 based HB-LLC design? And clarify if it is beneficial to use 1 resonant capacitor or 2 with the mid node connected to the transformer.

    In my judgment, the latter is beneficial to transformer design- it should be smaller in size due to Vin/2 applied at the primary, assuming one can handle 2x Ipri without a substantial increase in I2R losses. This is our case. 

    Also: very importantly, C2000 FB-LLC has current sense transformer as 1:25, while HB-LLC shows 1:250?

    I think there is some typo here. Ipri is in amp range(<3Amp?) ...

    finally, whose white paper is best to use to calculate  N, Cr, and Q?...there seems to be an abundance of contradictory conclusions or process for obtaining these critical parameters.
