LP38692: selection of output capacitance in LDO regulators

I am using the LP38692 for regulating the voltage from 9V to 5V.....

 Could you please suggest me the quantitative procedure for the selection of the output and input capacitors......

    Hi Hitesh, 

    For most of the LDO datasheet, it has sections for input and output capacitor selections. Normally for most of the LDO, a minimum capacitance of input and output capacitors are required for stability purpose. For LP29692, please see 8.2.2.2 on from Page 16 for details on input and output capacitors.
