We have questions about TPS7A49.
We try to use external diode for reverse voltage protection about TPS7A49.
Please tell us the important point when we choice external diode for reverse voltage protection.
What product should we choose?
VF : below --V?
reverse current : below --A?
Best regards,
Takahiro Nishizawa
Hello Takahiro:
In general, using a Schottky diode between input and output, or a diode before the LDO helps protecting the LDO from reverse current damages when the Vout exceeds the maximum rating Vout < Vin +0.3V.
