BQ24780S: BQ24780S can not charge

Please help review the attached schematic.

The configuration of registers is configured according to the Datasheet:

0x12H 0xE108

0x14H 0x0400

0x15H 0x20D0

0x39H 0x1800

0x3FH 0x1000

According to the charging conditions of Datasheet, all the conditions are satisfied. the battery is <7V, but could not charge.

Please give some suggestions

Hi Star,

What is your adapter voltage (VINC in your schematic)? Does the adapter voltage show up on VSYS (VBATO in your schematic)?

You can also try disabling your watchdog timer to make sure that watchdog timer expiration does not terminate charging.

Hi Jerry,

Can you please double check that all of the conditions listed in Section 7.3.3 of the datasheet are valid? All of these conditions must be met in order to enable charging.

If that does not resolve your issue, then please measure the following voltages: VCC, REGN, ACOK, ACDET, and V Bat. Also, can you probe PHASE on an oscilloscope to see if there is any switching?
