BQ40Z50-R2: XDSG and XCHG set without any protection triggered

Hi,

In one of our field return battery pack XDSG and XCHG flags has been set and no other protections were triggered, Attached the screen shot of the registers showing.

What would be the conditions other than Permanent fail case to disable the charging and discharging, I am attaching gg file of the battery pack.

Hi Uday,

Please reupload your images. If you have a secondary level protector trip, or FUSE trip, that can disable the chg and dsg FETs.

Hi Batt,

Sorry for the late reply.

We are not using FUSE protection.

Uday,

You don't have to use the fuse protection. However, if the fuse pin trips, you can end up with disabled FETs. So, please attach the fuse pin to GND.
