TPS26630-33EVM: OVP for TPS26633

Part Number: TPS26630-33EVM

We are using EVM to evaluate eFuse. We faced following issues

1. For OVP clamp in Channel 2

As mentioned in

3.4.2 UVLO, OVP Tests

""Increase the CH2 input voltage (VIN2) and monitor the output voltage (VOUT2). Verify that VOUT2 increases as VN2 increases and clamps to 35 V when VIN2 exceeds 35-V ±1 V (CH2 OV Clamp limit).""

We increased Vin2 voltage to 35V+1 and OVP kicked with 24E load resistance the voltage started dropping . We were expecting o/p voltage to be clamped.

Removed 24E load and increased Vin2 to 35V  and removed J8 jumper to avoid load current. Here again the voltage drops down at a lower pace. I guess this behavior is due to C7 bulk capacitor.

What do you mean by OVP clamp?? Is this the expected behavior.??

Channel 1 behavior was as mentioned in the data sheet

2. For channel 2 once OVP triggered

Reactivation starts only after voltage reduced below UVLO or when SHDN re-triggered.

Mode is left open.  J11 not installed.

""Reduce the CH2 input voltage and verify that the output turns on at 33-V ±1 V.""...reducing channel did not re-trigger  Device.

Is this how the device will behave??
