TPS62822: Regarding Device marking Mismatch

Part Number: TPS62822

For the above part, the device marking is mentioned as A2 in datasheet.

But the observed marking in the actual component we received is A21.

Why there is a difference in device marking.?

Hi,

the TPS6282x was released in three different output current versions:

The A2 marking indicates a 2A version of the device as seen on Addendum-Page 1 of the datasheet.

Do you see marking A21 (as stated above) or A1.

Hi,

We are using 2A part "TPS62822DLCT" in our design. As per datasheet, the device marking is mentioned as A2.

But the marking in the part we have received is A21.

You are correct, the marking should be A2.

Since the device is very small in board, we could not clearly see the top marking of device.

Hi Dharini,

you informed about the A21 marking which deviates from the expected A2. Where did you see it? If it's on the device package can you send a picture?

How many units did you receive with this marking?

Hi Britta,

We assembled the device on PCB. I tried to take picture of device.

But we could not see the image in picture, since it is very small.

In PCB board also, we are using magnifier to see the top marking.

we received 6 units which are having same top marking as A21.

Hi Dharini,

I understand that the device marking is very small, however I will need a picture to be sure that you have correct material and that we need to follow up on the wrong marking. Maybe you have the possibility to take pictures trough a microscope? However, It#S important to include the whole marking, including device code, etc.

Besides, can you provide a picture of the Lot #? It would be best to take a picture of the sticker on the packaging of the material you received, this helps us to trace back what you've received.
