TLV62084: Behavior under load short condition

Part Number: TLV62084

Hi Team,

Could you tell me how TLV62084 behaves under load short condition?

Fundamentally, we recommend customers to use higher saturation point inductor than device's max current limit for the load short condition.
But my customer want to use lower saturation point inductor for cost reduction.
According to the datasheet, TLV62084 has addtional low side MOSFET current limit and inductor current limit feature works to reduce its current.

I'm expecting that TLV62084 will not get a damage due to the additional protections because recommended inductor in the datasheet doesn't cover max current limit. But following description is one of customer's concern, so please give me some comments as supplement of our understanding.

8.3.8 Inductor Current-Limit
Because of an internal propagation delay, the real current-limit value exceeds the static-current limit in the Electrical Characteristics table.
