Hi Sir
what is the use of seal mode and what is the advantage of it.
Hi,
Sealed mode is described in the BQ78350-R1 Technical Reference Manual. It is used to secure the battery so that someone cannot change the settings who does not know the passcode to unseal the device. Here is the description from the manual:
The Seal Device command instructs the device to limit access to the SBS functions and data flash space
and sets the [SEC1][SEC0] flags. In SEALED mode, standard SBS functions have access per the Smart
Battery Data Specification. Extended SBS functions and data flash are not accessible.
Best regards,
Matt
Are you still able to communicate with the device? Try to cycle power on the EVM and restart BQStudio and re-try this.
Matt
Cycle power - turn power to the EVM off and on. Are you applying power to the EVM BAT+ and BAT- terminals?
Hii sir
we already cycle powered the EVM but still the error exists. How can we contact local FAE in india since we are facing many issues regarding this project and unable to complete the job from 2months.
will be very thankful if you can provide their contact info or email id. or else any local TI sales representative info in india.
thank you
Hi,
I am also working with Pavani on a different question which may be related. The other question is about why the cell voltages are not updating.
If the cell voltages are not updating and the device cannot enter ROM mode, they device may have been damaged. I suggest replacing the IC because it is not behaving normally.
I'm sorry, I cannot help you find FAE support - please contact your distributor or local TI sales office. E2E is not the place to request local support.
Best regards,
Matt
