LM1086: ADC controled regulator

Part Number: LM1086

Hi,

I want to configure the output voltage by FPGA through a ADC.

LM1086 is used in the previous design. Due to the LM1086 adjustable version develops at 1.25V reference voltage, Vref, between the output and adjust terminal.

Thus, I use the ADC's output to set the adjust terminal voltage with a voltage divider.

Vout = Vadj + Vref+Iaj*R  (Iadj is small can be ignored)

However, because of the Vref =1.25V. Thus, the min Vout =1.25V.

In my requirements, the min value is 0.8V.

Do you have other component that can solve this problem?

I searched many regulator, they all have a feedback voltage regulated with output.

LM1086 is the special one, that have a fixed reference voltage between Adjust and output terminal.

Thanks for your help.

  • Hello Rongpeng,

I have used the product search feature on TI's website and located 52 adjustable linear regulators which will provide 0.8V on the output.
You can use the link below.
