TPS54225: VIN VCC separate with a inductor

Part Number: TPS54225

Hi Sir,

My customer is using TPS54225 and they worry that VIN noise will affect the VCC, so they add a inductor to isolate them.

my question as below.

1, Is TPS54225 need to seperate the VIN/VCC?

2. If they separate them, I think the main current should go through the VIN, so we should put big cap on VIN and a 0.1uF on VCC, right?

3. if Q2 is yes, since the VIN is on pin13 and VCC is on pin14, physically it is hard to route a wide trace to VIN, why we did no put VIN(main current pin) on Pin 13?

Thanks,

Patrick
