UCC25600: Body marking decoding for details on packaging

Part Number: UCC25600

In the image shown first line 25600 is the body marking as per data sheet, but how to get the details of second line U 93M and the third line A5FC so to relate the details on the packaging of this component.

U is a corporate logo for Unitrode, which is a power supply IC company that TI acquired in 1999.  TI maintained the Unitrode brand for many years after the acquisition, so devices that were released after 1999 may include this logo as well.

93M is a code that shows when and where the IC was made

A5FC is the lot trace code

  • Dear Eric,

    Thanks for your quick response.

My query is for decoding the physical marking w.r.t. to box marking received.

For example, if the box I received has the following sticker on this part:

Marking physically on the component is :

    25600

    U 93M

    A5FC

Now it will be helpful to me if you can provide me the procedure to correlate these two details, so verify this component authenticity and its traceability.

    BR,

    Ashish Gupta.

The markings on the IC are an abbreviation of the full information since there is limited space on the IC.  If you would like to verify that the IC marking matches what is on the box please reach out to your local TI representative.  If you do not have a TI representative you can reach us at http://www.ti.com/about-ti/contact-us.html

    Best Regards,

    Eric
