Hi Amiel and UCD expert,

For the released firmware,memory peek/poke pmbus commands will be taken out for security purpose, but I found that the online GUI couldn't be started up in this sitution.

My question is that, Is it possible to run online GUI while memory peek/poke commands were taken out? What I want the GUI is just monitor the power status, such as, vout, vin, Iout, temperature, pmbus status word, and other pmbus status commands.

Hello Jack,

Do you have an error message? Also are the commands for compensation implemented through PMBus and the bitmask set?

Hi Amiel,

Here are the errors while opening the online GUI, and I'm think my configurations of the bitmask(E2 and E3) are cleared.

An error occured while trying to detect a PMBus device. The error was:

PARM_INFO/VALUE(address=0xFFF7F040, count=1, size=4) returned 15 bytes, but expected 4 bytes 在 TIDP.PMBus.PMBusDevice.a(DiscoverOptionsBase A_0, IEnumerable`1 A_1, a A_2) 在 TIDP.PMBus.PMBusDevice.Discover(DiscoverOptions2 options) 在 TIDP.PMBus.WinForms.Forms.PMBusDiscoverySplashScreenForm.Scan()

Please check your device firmware, power, and USB connection.

I have used JTAG to read bit mask value, commands E2 and E3's bit master are cleared, please see below capture screen shot.

Hello Jack,

Thanks for the extra information. The address 0xFFF7F040 is read if it is a UCD3138 to determine the IC revision, which is needed to write compensation in some cases, and for the default memory map to display in the memory debugger. Since you wish to disable parm info/parm value then you will likely not be doing the last two actions. A new GUI will be released to prevent the IC revision check if parm info/parm value is not supported. I expect that it should be ready before mid-November.

A potential work around may be to allow only for that address to be read, which is the IC revision.

A soft reminder, as I know, device GUI will read address 0xFFF7F040, can you please help to fix it for device GUI?

I have tested this version of GUI, another error occurs. GUI will try to read value from address 0xFFF7F020, where is GLBIOOD register(Global I/O Open Drain Control Register).

Hi Amiel,

This can be reproduced with using LLC code from ti website, and disble pmbus command E2 and E3. Here are the testing code that can reproduce this issue.UCD3138_LLC_HB_DISE2E3.zip
