For a new design, we have to use a lead-free reflow profile with a SAC305 solder paste. The results are conform for all smd devices on the board, except for the LM2599:
The D2PAK package have brown pins after reflow, but only on SAC305 process ( see photo ). As specified in the LM2599 ordering code, Lead finish is CU SN.
- Is this phenomen normal ?
- Why this fault appears only on LM2599 package ?
