UCC28780: UCC28780

Part Number: UCC28780

I am using the UCC28780 PWM controller.

Is it possible to use this controller for 20V input DC?

What have I to change?

Thanks.

  • Hello Egon,

The UCC28780 was design to achieve zero voltage switching in off line applications.  I am not sure that it is the correct topology for you.  However, we have many reference designs that might your step down specifications.  You can find these designs at the following link.

You just need to enter your input and output power requirements and it will search the TI reference design data base to find a design that fits your needs.

If one does not exist there are many tools that can help you with the design process.

With a 20V input it seems that your design may not need isolation and could be done with a buck converter.

If you don't find a design in the TI data base please let us know and we will help point you in the right direction.

    Regards,
