PTD08A006W Faults on shut-down

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD9240, PTD08A006W

We have a design with an UCD9240 and three single-phase power rails using the PTD08A006W. We are having some trouble debugging start-up problems as the system seems to log faults on all the rails during shut-down (it could be start-up, but this seems less likely).

After what seems like a normal shut-down and start-up we see faults logged for all the rail lines. Any idea what condition could be causing this? (total consumption is less than 1/2 of PTD maximums).

  • Answers may depend on the type of faults logged.

If the logged faults have response settings that would normally cause the rail to shutdown during the fault condition and the rail starts normally then the faults were generated when the rail was turned off.

Take a screen shot of the monitor page and attach to the post and I'll take a look.
