could 27282 drive GaN FET? what's the maximum driving frequence?

    Thank you for the interest in the UCC27282. Depending on the gate drive voltage requirements, and rating of the GaN Vgs the UCC27282 can drive GaN devices. Be sure and confirm the UCC27282 datasheet specifications, specifically the VDD UVLO which is 5.0V typical and 5.4V maximum. The recommended VDD range is 5.5V to 16V.

    The UCC27282 has been characterized with data in the datasheet up to 1MHz operation. The maximum usable frequency is determined by several factors which is specific to the detail design. Gate drive losses and power dissipation is one limiting factor which is based on the Mosfet, or power switch Qg and switching frequency. The propagation delay times, propagation delay matching, and minimum pulse width response are details to consider if these parameters are compatible with your application.
