EM1402EVM: EM1402EVM

Part Number: EM1402EVM

Hi,

I'm using the EM1402EVM together with LAUNCHXL-TMS57004 and I have one question about the value needed to start the active balance. In the code, the value must be greater than 0.005, what is the reason for this value? Is it the minimum for start the balancing or does it mean something else?

The code is the TMS570BMS.

Thanks.

  • Hello,

This is the voltage delta between cells used in the example code to define when to start balancing. It just means that if the difference between the cell with less charge and the cell with most charge is greater then 0.005V, then the program executes the balancing sequence. This is just for the example, you can define what this number needs to be based on your application.

    Best regards,

    Leslie
