Part Number: UCC28019

Hi,

I want to use UCC28019 to design 1600W PFC power. When the power is 1300W, the current waveform is distorted. Please see the screen (location 1) as attachment.

My questions are:

1. What's the possible reason for the current distortion?

2. How to avoid the current distortion and improve my power to 1600W?

Thanks.

  • Hi Kevin,

The first thing is that current waveform is phase shifted with respect to the AC line voltage this would suggest that there is a large capacitor value after the bridge rectifier.

Can your share your schematic and we can check some component values.
