Dear TI Experts,

we are developing a low power Qi receiver application according to the TIDA-00688 application note. Now we are facing problems with the little BGA pitch of BQ51003. The application is to price sensitive to switch to 4 layer and micro vias that are required to connect the inner BGA balls. 

I would like to know if there are any restrictions to change the recommended BQ51003 with the BQ51013B. BQ51013B comes in a bigger package. I' m afraid that the maximum current of 240 mA and a usual current < 100 mA could be too low to keep the Qi power transfer alive?

    Hello

    The BQ51013B and BQ51003 are very similar parts, key change is in the max output current and efficiency.  003 will operate at lower RECT voltage at lower current and efficiency will be higher.  The lower current should not be more of a problem with the BQ51013B.
