TPS3702: Power Consumption and Power Dissipation

Part Number: TPS3702

Hello I have used this IC for monitoring 1.8V rail.

Have used 10kOhm pull resistor for the output lines.

Would like to know how to calculate the power consumption and Power dissipation for the same.

Power Consumption = Icc*Vcc = 12uA*3.3V is this correct?

Output Power = Iout*Vout = 0.33mA*3.3V

Power Dissipation = Input Power - Output Power

  • Hi Dhawal,

You're on the right track with your calculations. Your power consumption could vary, and at 3.3 Idd won't be quite as high as 12uA. Your output power, however, should be this assuming no load. I would measure and calculate as you build an application circuit, and for thermal considerations, use this app note.

    Thanks,
    Abhinav.
