LMR23610: the reason why the L value difference between equation from D/S and webench

hi, Team.

We've discussed how much L value is good for specific condition as below shown via webench and equation from D/S.(which are different value)

why this is happened ? how did webench pick up the value which is different from D/S like 18uH and 580uH~480uH?

Hi Masaharu-san,

The reason is that you need to use the maximum output current of IC to calculate Delta iL, rather than the actual output current.

how much current on L should customer consider in case of I out is 30mA ?(30mA ±30%~50%?)

Hi,

The current considered is always the device maximum output current, that is 1 A for LMR23610.

Your output current is small, the IC will work in PFM. Using small inductor will help with output ripple.
