LM25085: Burst or pulse mode at low loads

Part Number: LM25085

I have designed a circuit using this switching regulator and it seems to go into a mode which I can only describe as a pulse mode. This is a separate mode different to Continuous or Discontinuous mode. It happens more at low loads and the gap when the MOSFET is fully off gets less as the current draw increases. If each pulse of current is checked it can be seen that at that point the regulator is either in continuous or discontinuous mode. Is there a way that this mode can be disabled. My input voltage is ideally 12V-24V (not so important if it does not work at 24V). My output is 5V with a current draw up to 3Amps. The ripple cause by this mode is really high and I would like to improve it. There is no information on this mode in datasheet. Any help or information on this mode will be very helpful.
