I want to know if it's possible to use the BQ40Z60 with 1S2P li-po with protection circuit in a low-side configuration on each pack ?

No, but I have to use 2 separate battery li-po. Each battery has a PCM with low-side protection. I have to connect these 2 battery in series. I saw that cell balancing is not possible with this configuration but i don't understand why ?

Hello Sebastien,

It is not possible in this configuration. The charge pumps on the device are designed to be high-side FET drivers.
