BQ25601: the difference between BQ25601 and BQ25601D

Hi team

- What is the difference between BQ25601 and BQ25601D? Especially, I would like to understand the difference of pins, registers and so on.

- After powered-on, they found that REG0B [6:3] is 0010, though the default value should be 0111 according to datasheet. Could you give any comments on this behavior?

Hi Takahashi-san,

601 pin 3 = /PG open drain while 601D pin 3 = USB D- line

601 pin 2 = PSEL hi Z input while 601D pin 2 = USB D+ line.

Registers are the same except 601D REG08 VBUS_STAT reports more detail based on D+/D- detection.

How are D- and D+ connected? What input current limit is determined by D+/D-?

Regarding REG0Bb[6:3], they should report which IC you have with 0111 being 601D and 0010 being 601. Is your customer seeing ICs with 601D package label reporting as 601 in REG0B?
