TPS2372: [TPS2372]TPH, TPL,Bt pin

Part Number: TPS2372
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-01463

Hello

I have a question how to connect the TPH, TPL and BT in our schematic.

In our system, TPS2372 connect with non-isolate buck-convertor.

In this case, Do I need to use a optocoupler to connect the TPH, TPL and BT pins to the CPU or FPGA?

Best Regards,

keisuke

  • Hi Keisuke,

If the DCDC is non-isolated, then there would be no need for an opto for TPH TPL or BT. Instead it can be connected directly to a GPIO on the microcontroller.

I recommend looking at what we did in TIDA-01463 as a reference. This is a non-isolated power supply PoE application. Note how we connected the TPH/TPL/BT pins to the microcontroller.

    Thanks!

    Regards,

    Darwin
