TPS7A69-Q1: High temperature protection

Hi,

Our customer is using TPS7A76950. When the chip's temperature is above 65 degree, the chip will enter high temperature protection mode and it doesn't work. And the high temperature will remain. After re-power on, the chip will enter normal status. But the operating temperature should be 150 degree.

Could you please help review the schematic as attachment?

What is the VCC voltage?
And what is the load current?

Hi Stephen,

The VCC is 12V and the load current is 20mA. Could you please give us some advice about this case? The product has been in line-down state. So it's very urgent. Thanks.

Hi Kevin,

It does not look like the component should be getting this hot.
I need some additional details to help with the troubleshooting.

1. What are the values and dielectric types of the output capacitors?
Manufacturing part numbers would be better, if you have those.

2. Is the 10V supply powered ON when VCC is off? This is the supply which provides the SI pin voltage.

3. What makes you believe the chip is entering high temp protection mode?
