UCD3138: package question(RJA)

Dear UCD expert,

I see that RJA package is recommended from datasheet, and RJA package has 4 cornor pins which connect to GND.

From my memory(but it's not very clear), this package has risks of fracture because of the machanical stress is higher than RHA, isn't it?

If my design is 1/4 brick modual, and 12 or above pcb layers, is it neccessary to solder those 4 cornor pins onto board? Thanks...

Happy New Year!

You are right, RJA package is recommended for a thick board, such as 12 layers. 4 anchor pins need be soldered down on PCB in order to pass board reliability test.

Can you please help me know what the differences are between RMH and RJA ? And I'm not sure if I'm correct, RMH has some risks under low temperature(-40'C) test, isn't it?
