BQ25713: Battery cell changed from 4S1P to 2S2P

Hi,

With BQ25713 that battery cell design is changed from 4S1P to 2S2P, what should be changed from HW deisgn and register setting besides th one listed below?

  • CELL_BATPRESZ pin connection.
  • VSYS_TH1/VSYS_TH2 in 36h
  • ChargeCurrent Register (I2C address = 03/02h)
  • MaxChargeVoltage Register (I2C address = 05/04h)
  • MinSystemVoltage Register (I2C address = 0D/0Ch)
  • InputVoltage Register (I2C address = 0B/0Ah)
  • OTGVoltage Register (I2C address = 07/06h)

  • Hi Antony,

        You understanding is correct. Please make sure if customer want to use VAP feature. For 4S application VAP is not needed, but for 2S application some customer may need VAP feature details shown below.

        Another suggestion is for 2S2P battery, IDCHG_VTH REG0x39H need to be doubled for 2P battery application, this is used for PROCHOT.
