TPS7A16: TPS7A1633DRB, Can feedback resistors be left in the design when using the fixed voltage version?

Hello,

I am using the fixed voltage version of the TPS7A16. Can the feedback resistor divider be left in the design? The TPS7A1633DRB (fixed voltage version) seems to be functioning properly with the recommended resistors for TPS7A1601 in the design.

Hi Ron,

The datasheet states to leave this pin unconnected, not even to GND or power, for the fixed version.
Either the internal feedback resistors are connected to this node, or it provides easy access to run internal testing on the die.
If you connect your feedback to it, then you will be operating outside of the datasheet operating conditions and we cannot guarantee correct operation of the device.

Thank you for the information! I understand that I am operating outside of the datasheet operating conditions and I have started a process to remove the feedback resistors. Can you please provide any additional insight for the fixed voltage version's FB pin? It will help me greatly to assess the situation.
