LP5912: LP5912 max output current

Hi team,

My customer would like to know if it is safe to operate the LP5912 up to 550mA continuously, assuming they could take care of the thermal dissipation.

the application will be regulating Vin of 5.2 ~ 5.4V to output of 5V, so the max power dissipation will be ~0.22W

    HI SK.

    Since the minimum current limit for the device kicks in at around 700mA, it will work.  We did not characterize or qualify the device at 550mA, so the only potential risk could be long term reliability.
