TLV741P: Differences between TLV713P and TLV741

Part Number: TLV741P
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV713P, , TLV713

Hello,

What are the differences between TLV713P and TLV741P, though their 1k prices are very different?

Best regards,

K.Hirano

  • Hi Kazuhiko,

On first glance, the TLV741P requires an output capacitor to maintain stability, while the TLV713 does not require any output capacitor for stability.
This will reduce the total system cost, slightly, of the TLV713 where no output capacitor is desired.

There are additional differences within the thermal impedances between the two devices.
See section 6.4 in both datasheets for the thermal impedances for each device.

Section 6.5 uses different output capacitors to obtain the Electrical Characteristics table.
TLV741P uses a 1uF output capacitor (unless otherwise noted), while the TLV713 uses a 0.47uF output capacitor (unless otherwise noted).
As many of the electrical characteristics are the same, this demonstrates the reduced system cost of the TLV713 for the same performance.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks,
