UCD3138: Using a diode for clamping at EADC

Hi Experts,

- I would like to use a diode for clamping at the EADC, illustrated below. Is it ok? Will it be hazardous to UCD?

ps. I need only 0~0.6V sense range, but input voltage may have max 2.5V.

you can use a voltage divider to scale down the input signal. The measurement range of EADC is 1.6V, but 2.5V will not damage UCD.

- But I don't want to use a voltage divider, since that will decrease the resolution.

- Is it OK to put a diode there?
