Hi,

Can RESET_IN pin be set into ACT2OFF Power Sequence(power down sequence) trigger pin?

Supervisor output signal is inputted to ENBLE pin on the figure 6-4 of the datasheet.

I would like to know if supervisor output signal can inputted to RESET_IN pin.

Hi, Kuramochi,

The RESET_IN pin can't be set into ACT2OFF Power Sequence (power down sequence) trigger pin as the ENABLE pin does, since it's only one of the sources to generate "OFF Requests" interrupt; not for power down sequence.

According to following application note, it says that "When an OFF request occurs during the ACTIVE state, each resource is disabled based on the programmed ACT2OFF sequence".

Can this "OFF request" be occured by RESET_IN pin?

Does it mean that the RESET_IN pin can be trigger of power down sequence?

Hi, Kuramochi-san,

I just checked the "Table 5-10. OFF Requests", it says "OFF request" by "RESET_IN" pin is not MASKABLE and there is "SWOFF_DLY" which is the same for all requests. When configured to a specific value (0, 1, 2, or 4 s) it is applied to all OFF requests.

Kuramochi-san,

Yes, you are correct. RESET_IN can be used to power down the device. The only OFF request that does not execute the power down sequence is VSYS_LO (undervoltage lockout), where all the rails will shutdown at the same time.
