BQ24074: Vout go to higher 4.5V for a short time.

Part Number: BQ24074

Hi,

I use the BQ24074 for a modem system with a lithium batterie.

The modem in 2G burst with N* 2.3A during 570µs every 4.616 ms. (extract datasheet)

During the charge the tension drop at V BAT level because the I OUT is greater than I lim (set to 1.5A).

But after the busrt, the tension overshot above 4.5V during a short time (see oscyllo print)

The problem in my case is the modem shutdown when VBAT goes higher than 4.5V... So in this mode I have regularly some reboot.

What can I do to avoid and or minimise the overshot ?

Best regards,

Romain.
